The Accessibility tab ensures your Eventful sliders and carousels are more inclusive by providing assistive text for screen readers and other accessibility tools. These settings help users with visual or mobility impairments navigate the carousel easily.

- Carousel Accessibility: Enable or disable accessibility support for carousels. When enabled, Eventful provides screen-reader-friendly messages for navigation and slide changes.
- Previous Slide Message: Set the message announced when navigating to the previous slide. Default: “Previous slide”
- Next Slide Message: Set the message announced when navigating to the next slide. Default: “Next slide”
- First Slide Message: Define the message for when the user reaches the first slide in the carousel. Default: “This is the first slide”
- Last Slide Message: Define the message for when the user reaches the last slide in the carousel. Default: “This is the last slide”
- Pagination Bullet Message: Customize the message for pagination bullets (slide indicators). You can use the
{{index}}
variable to dynamically insert the slide number.
Default: “Go to slide {{index}}”
Tip: Adjusting these messages can improve your site’s accessibility score and user experience, especially for users relying on assistive technologies.
