Troubleshooting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"efe-doc-summary wp-block-paragraph\">Fixes for the most common problems, from no events showing to a missing Style tab.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No events are showing<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Check that the events are published in The Events Calendar, not drafts.<\/li><li>By default a widget shows upcoming events only. If all your events are over, set <strong>Type of Event<\/strong> to <strong>Past Events<\/strong> or <strong>All<\/strong>. See <a href=\"https:\/\/wpeventful.com\/elementor\/docs\/upcoming-past-all-events\/\">Upcoming, Past and All Events<\/a>.<\/li><li>Check <strong>Content &gt; Filter Events<\/strong>: an <strong>Include Only<\/strong> list, a fixed date range, a keyword or <strong>Featured<\/strong> can leave nothing to show.<\/li><li>Check the filter rows under <strong>Advanced Filtering<\/strong>. A row with <strong>Show Ajax Live Filter<\/strong> off still narrows the events.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The carousel or ticker does not move, or looks broken<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Clear your page cache and any CSS or JavaScript optimisation cache, then reload.<\/li><li>If a performance plugin combines or delays JavaScript, exclude the Eventful scripts (their handles start with <code>efpe-<\/code>) from that option and test again.<\/li><li>Check the browser console for errors from other plugins. A script error elsewhere on the page can stop the carousel from starting.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filters, search or Load More stop working on a cached page<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Filters, live search and AJAX pagination load events through <code>admin-ajax.php<\/code> with a security token that is written into the page. If a page cache keeps the page for longer than the token lasts, the requests fail.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Set your page cache lifespan to 10 hours or less, or exclude pages with Eventful filters from the page cache.<\/li><li>Make sure <code>admin-ajax.php<\/code> is never cached.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Venue names are not links<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the free version of The Events Calendar, venues have no public pages, so there is nothing to link to. Venue links need Events Calendar Pro, which adds venue pages.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Style tab is missing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The widget is set to a pre-made template. Change <strong>Content &gt; Template Styles &gt; Template Type<\/strong> to <strong>Custom<\/strong> to get the Style tab back. See <a href=\"https:\/\/wpeventful.com\/elementor\/docs\/style-tab\/\">Style Tab Overview<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notice: &quot;Eventful Pro: some pages need restoring&quot;<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An update before 2.2.0 could save the Elementor content of some pages incorrectly. Version 2.2.0 checks for this and, if it finds damaged pages, shows administrators this notice with a list of them. Nothing is changed automatically.<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list efe-doc-steps\"><li>For each page in the notice, click <strong>open the last intact revision<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Check that it is the version you want, then click <strong>Restore This Revision<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Open the page in Elementor and check it. Changes made after that revision need to be made again.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The notice goes away once the pages are restored. If a page has no earlier revision, <a href=\"https:\/\/themeatelier.net\/create-support-ticket\/?utm_source=efesite&#038;utm_medium=docs&#038;utm_campaign=halloween26\" rel=\"noopener\">open a support ticket<\/a>.
