4. Language and Localization

Translate the plugin’s text, set the carousel direction for right-to-left sites, and use it on multilingual sites.

Text you type in the widget #

Labels you set in a widget, such as the Read More text, the Load More button label or a filter label, are part of your page. Type them in your own language.

Translate the plugin's own text #

  1. Install a translation plugin such as Loco Translate.
  2. Open Loco Translate > Plugins > Eventful Pro for Elementor and create a new language. The plugin’s text domain is eventful-pro-for-elementor.
  3. Choose the System location, which saves the files in wp-content/languages/plugins/. Files there are kept when the plugin updates.
  4. Translate the strings and save.

Avoid the plugin’s own languages folder: files there load, but a plugin update replaces the folder and your translation with it.

Right-to-left sites #

In the Carousel widget (every mode, including Ticker) and the Slider widget, set Carousel Direction to Right To Left so the slides move in reading order. The rest of the layout switches to right-to-left on its own: Eventful loads a right-to-left stylesheet when the site language is written right to left.

WPML and Polylang #

Eventful sends the current language with its AJAX requests (filters, search and pagination), so a multilingual plugin can return events in the visitor’s language. Translate your events with your multilingual plugin, and add the widget to each language version of the page.
