The Eventful Slider widget shows one event at a time, full width.
Slider is in the free version with the Slide transition. The other transitions and number pagination need Eventful Pro.
- Add Eventful Slider to the page and open Content > Slider.
Content > Slider, with a Fade transition. - Pick a Transition Effect: Slide, Fade (Pro), Coverflow (Pro), Cube (Pro) or Flip (Pro).
- Set AutoPlay, AutoPlay Speed and Carousel Speed. For a calm slider, use an AutoPlay Speed of 5000 or more.
- Under Navigation and Pagination, choose the arrows, their position, and Dots or Number (Pro). With Number pagination, set Number Active Color and Number Active Background in Style > Carousel.
Text over the image #
In Content > Template Styles, set Event Content Position to Overlay (Pro) to place the title and details on the image, or to Left or Right (Pro) to put them beside it. For overlay text, set light colours for the title, meta and Read More in the Style tab, and an overlay colour in Style > Box.
The Slider has the same movement, navigation and accessibility settings as the Carousel, without columns: it always shows one event. See Carousel.
