Use a different pagination type on phones, and style the page numbers in the Style tab.
A different type on phones #
- In Content > Pagination, find Pagination Type for Mobile. It applies on screens 480px wide and below.
- Choose the type for phones. A common setup: Ajax Number Pagination on desktop and Load More Button (Ajax) on phones, where a single button is easier to tap.
Colours #
Open Style > Pagination. It has separate colours for the normal, hover and active (current page) states: text, background and border.
For page numbers, give the active state a strong background so visitors can see which page they are on, and check that the text contrast is high enough in each state.
